another 13: here's how I roll -- read on before it's too late

I already posted this a couple of months ago, but I took it down for a stupid reason. Now it's back and will never be deleted again. Some items in the 13 are already irrelevant, but hey, this is my blog and this is how I roll.

1. I don't (or never, or prefer not to) share my "life" because I'm boring. My life is boring. I get up at about 4:30 or 5, commute all the way from Biñan to Makati, work for 9 hours (give or take a few, depending on my work load), commute back, watch TV or surf the net, then sleep. Remove the work part during weekends. See why I don't share anything? Because there's nothing. Really. Try to live my life and you'll die of radioactive boredom.

2. In case of extreme radioactive boredom, I do stuff: watch movies (alone, usually), or walk all the way to Glorietta and gawk at the latest gadgets and games displayed at DataBlitz, sometimes have dinner with college friends ([P], etc), buy books or magazines, or just eat (a lot).

3. College friends keep me sane. I can only count around 10 people who I can talk to all day/night long without a second of dead air, and I'm fortunate enough to have found them all in elbi. And no, I'm not being picky. They just happen to be great friends.

how to drive 'em away

I know, I know -- the site's still 'under renovation', but I just couldn't resist.

Our HR officer reminded us earlier today about the supposedly open-for-all poster-making contest for the recruitment season starting this October. Maybe it's because we have a dozen-strong army of artists in the company that she's having a hard time convincing everyone else to join, so she's taking it personally (and by personally, I mean she's personally badgering us to join). I told her I'll think about it.

But instead of actually thinking about a copy deserving of an iPod Shuffle, my mind wandered over its complete opposite. A colleague gave a name for this -- sweatshop -- and one thing led to another and, well, here's a couple of posters after an afternoon's worth of brainstorming.

Disclaimer: Not related to Anino, silly.

shoo

"A..."

Kala niya siguro tatanungin ko rin siya. LOL.

Note to self: pumasok na nang mas maaga (mga 5:30) para makaiwas sa mga nakakalokong twists of fate.

[P]pol who keep me sane

Kanya-kanyang bisyo/wisyo lang yan. Kahit mas marami pa ang tinext kesa nakapunta sa biglaang reunion ng mga [P]erspective pips, kahit may tatlo pang off-screen sa shot na 'to (kasama ako siyempre), kahit magkakasakit na ako kinabukasan na 15 out of 24 hrs e tulog ako at di makahinga nang tama, kahit hindi ko dati nakakausap yung ilan (at ngayon lang ulit), kahit tinakbo namin mula Market! Market!

Kasi sila yun e.

[there's a bigger reason why I'm posting this sentimental shitstorm, but that's for next week]

quickieviews - Bruno + Kimmy Dora

Dalawa pa lang ang nagre-recommend sa akin so far, but its enough to convince me that it's worth seeing.

Nevertheless, Kimmy Dora is waaaaay better than some of its peers, comedy or otherwise.

Nope.

5. Nakakatawa yung pag-followup dun sa 'fired girl'.

6. Reasons why this will be huge hit: one, ABS and GMA are promoting this film (kung cameos pa lang ang indication); two, Eugene has earned enough reputation in both the mainstream and the 'artsy-fartsy' crowd -- she has, after all, been around for quite some time now; three, good word-of-mouth does good business.

Ayos!" Siguro wrong timing lang 'to. O baka hindi rin. Perfect timing. Shot ng euphoria. Pwede.

Anyway: 'yan ang 2nd concept* ko (out of 3) na nakasama sa Game Design Challenge for September 1. Ayos.

*for WiiWare only if ever. hehe
